DrayTek 5dB High-Gain Dual-Band Omnidirectional Aerial Antennas Suitable for 802.11AC and 802.11AX (WiFi 6) Routers

The DrayTek ANT-1205 Indoor 5dB Omni-Directional Antennas are replacement antennas for any DrayTek router or wireless access point. They provide up to 5dBi gain (vs. the 2 or 3 dBi standard antenna supplied with the access point/router). The ANT-1205 can increase coverage in your environment, creating a stronger signal for your WiFi coverage. A high-gain antenna achieves this by creating a narrower and therefore more concentrated radiation pattern. It is still an omni-directional antenna, i.e. signal radiates in all directions (360 degrees) perpendicular to the antenna's length. The ANT-1205 is supplied as a pair of antennas, ideal for most DrayTek wireless access points and wireless routers.

 

High-Gain Dual-Band Antenna Pack

The ANT-1205B(Black) or ANT-1205W(White) is a dual-band antenna so can be used for either 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz operation, or both simultaneously. It is also suitable for 802.11ac (WiFi 5) operation (5.8Ghz). The antenna can tilt at its base to allow for optimum coverage/spread, or to allow for router wall mounting.

Instead of mounting the antennas on the back of your router directly, you can use an optional magnetic base (sold separately, see accessories tab) - useful if your router is in a rack or you want to get the best aerial position. The optional base can be wall mounted using suitable adhesive pads (sold separately).

Antenna Gain

Remember that signal gain (increased range) doesn't 'magically come from nowhere'. Your base signal strength is still the same. Antenna gain occurs by concentrating the beam and reducing its vertical angle, so for best all-round coverage (above and below as well as to the sides), use the antennas included with your router.

Important Note: Different local regulations may limit the maximum power output of any wireless transmitting device or the gain an transmitter produces. The use of any optional antennas with increased gain may exceed local limits. It is the user's responsibility to comply with any local restrictions.

If you wish to take the unit yourself to the service centre (currently North of London), replacement or diagnosis/repair can be carried out in person.
