IEEE 802.3at is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard also known as PoE+. It allows for higher power delivery over Ethernet cables, providing up to 30 watts per port to devices, which is an increase from the 15.4 watts of the original PoE (802.3af) standard. This allows for powering more power-hungry devices like VoIP phones with LCDs, wireless access points, and PTZ cameras. 802.3at is also backwards compatible with 802.3af, meaning it can power older devices that comply with the standard PoE
